Mel Bay Presents Improvisation Step-By-Step Improvising Classical Music on Piano Reviewa lot of people put down melbay for not offering indepth methods for any certain style.. or books that teach you stuff that you don't already know.. not this book.. it's jammed packed full of classical music concepts and ways to play.. I mean you could write whole albums based off single chapters or lessons alone.. they say that jazz is more free than classical well I've learned jazz and it really don't amount to much except for learning just the moveable major scale and all the scales within it which are the exact same scale.. sure this book will teach you that jazz and classical have things in common like what scales to put on what type of chord.. but the location of the scales are different.. you don't just stay in the same key.. this is what I've learned so far.. but there's a whole lot more in this book to be learned and it's gonna take a while.. but will be fun.. I've had this book for about a year now and I'm just now asking myself..
