A Feel for the Game: A Master's Memoir ReviewNot a chronological review of Crenshaw's life, but rather a look at the key moments.
Crenshaw's early life in Texas, his relationship with Harvey Penick, his US Masters victories and the 1999 Ryder Cup are all covered. He comes across as someone very respectful of the traditions of the game, and grateful for what he has achieved.
However, it possibly gets a little petty when discussing the 1999 Ryder Cup. Apart from the infamous celebrations following Justin Leonard's putt, Crenshaw gives the impression the US team were angels, and everything else (from slow play to rowdy fans) was the fault of the European team. As an Australian I don't care who was at fault, I just want the issue discussed in a straightforward way. The claim and counter claim from Crenshaw and Mark James is like listening to a couple of kids.
Apart from that, the book is a good read.A Feel for the Game: A Master's Memoir Overview
