I loved reading about all the events that took him from being a boy in a junkyard to becoming the one-of-a-kind jazz legend that he is. Who knew that building a trumpet from a garden hose and a funnel would lead to Clark evolving into the most-recorded trumpet player of all time and one of only 4 trumpet players in history to ever receive the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Clark's life story, lovingly written over the course of 20 years by Clark and his wife is an excellent read.
